Test Drive OneNote 2007
27 June 2006 Posted By: AndrewPosted in: OneNote
If you’ve been waiting for me to post some reviews on OneNote 2007, listen up. Microsoft has a web-based preview of Office 2007 (including OneNote). “The preview allows users to try out Office 2007 components directly, or be guided through walk-through tours of the various new features of each product, ” writes Nate Mook of BetaNews.com.
There is a line, though…currently at 137 minutes. In any event, if you’ve been aching to see Office 2007, this should perfect for you. I also apologize for not getting a real review up. I’ve pretty much been working 24/7.

The program will cost the district $200,000 in its first year.
Cleaning up Add/Remove Programs

Last time: Desktop Cleaning
I swear I was going to get this out two weeks ago. However, Boeing has been keeping me rather busy and when I get home, all I really want to do is go take a nap. That and waking up at 5:30 has absolutely no benefits, really.
But enough of my diatribe, this week we’re going to tackle removing programs.
It’s really amazing how many programs can populate your Add/Remove Programs list, especially if this is your first gander through. In case you don’t know where the Add/Remove Programs list is, Click Start | Control Panel, then double-click on “Add or Remove Programs”. You should get a box that looks like this:
Tablet PCs in Israel: An Open Letter to Microsoft
18 June 2006 Posted By: TracyPosted in: Tablets in Isreal
Author: Sharon Shaked
This time I have for you a little story. It involves my favorite company, and with no doubt my future place of employment (once I finish with my degree… if that ever happens). Which company is that you ask? Well, it’s Microsoft.
“Hey! We only know each other for a week and already you burden us with such subjects?” –Yes I know. First of all, I believe it’s for a good cause. Second, it will affect us all.
An Open Letter to Microsoft
Microsoft is an integral part of each and every person’s computer experience. You see, every “techi” and computer science student out there has without any doubt started his computer days on some version of an MS OS. It really just depends on how old you are – whether you played with DOS because it was the only thing available, or you just liked the command prompt better then Win98 GUI, we are all Microsoft kids. It’s like your first car- You never forget it.
But these days it seems it has become a fashion to hate Microsoft. And what’s even more annoying, is that people are doing it just because they think it’s cool. Just like a trend.
Summer Writer’s Block….
17 June 2006 Posted By: TracyPosted in: Tracy's Updates
There’s something about summer that gives me writer’s block when it comes to articles. I have more free time than I do during the school year, but maybe it’s just that I don’t have homework to avoid ^_^.
I did decide to get a new tablet. True, the convertible selection isn’t anything to make me bite at the bit to upgrade my M200, but situation after situation has me yearning for a slate. In particular, the Motion LE1600 I was drooling over while reviewing a while back.
Tablet PCs in Israel: New Column with Guest Author Sharon Shaked
10 June 2006 Posted By: TracyPosted in: Tablets in Isreal
I am pleased to announce a new column on our site: Tablet PCs in Israel. With an international twist and a new voice on the scene, I think y’all will really enjoy it. That said, I’ll let our guest author take it from here!
Tablet PCs in Israel- A series of articles by a tired student, with way too much homework assignments, midterms and finals. (Just like you really).
Hi everyone! My name is Shaked. I am a first year student at the Technion (which is a university in Israel that teaches engineering) and I am a computer science major. I have a LG-LT20 tablet, had it since the first week of first semester. My goals are: 1. Promote the laptop market in Israel. 2. Raise and discuss student-related stuff that concerns you and me.
So, let’s get started then?
Tethered, but finally connected!
10 June 2006 Posted By: TracyPosted in: Tracy's Updates
Hi all! OK, I really didn’t think it would be three weeks before I’d be back on the internet, however, small towns apparently move at the lightning speed of molasses. Everything closes at 4 pm and takes at least a week to process. But now I’m good and connected to the internet once again, only it’s not wireless. I can adjust, and the ethernet cable stretches to the bed, so until I feel the need to sit on the couch, I’m fine.
Finally, Ink in Firefox

Spring Summer Cleaning
4 June 2006 Posted By: AndrewPosted in: Tips / Tricks
Schools out, finals are done, you have a Tablet and its slower your IBM 386 (yea, I actually had one of those. What a beast.) But the fact of the matter is it’s time for a little spring cleaning. So here’s Ferg’s Guide to Tablet PC Spring Cleaning, Version 1. I’m basically doing this as a walk through as I clean out my own computer:
Step 1:
The first thing I like to do is cleanup my desktop. As you can see, my desktop is rather cluttered. I use my desktop as a general scratchpad for files that I don’t feel like filling away, but probably have a place that they could go (other than the desktop, that is).
