The Student Tablet PC Welcomes Three New Authors!!!
22 April 2007Posted By: TracyPosted in: Blog Related
With over twenty applications, we had a really great pool of authors to chose from. Thank you to all who applied! It was really hard to narrow it down!
The addition of three new authors was a no-brainer on my part, but some of you may feel a little bewildered. What do we need so many for and what’s the point? Am I handing over the site? No. To clear things up from the beginning, no, the current authors (Andrew, Trev, and myself) will be just as active in the site as we were before, if not more. I decided to go for a masters (not at UT, but through distance ed) so I’ll be a student for a while longer now.
It was a no-brainer because each of the new authors will provide a new take on using technology to aid education. I aimed for diversity in majors, locations, lifestyles, knowledge, and personalities. Diversity aside, each one has a huge amount of know-how to add to the site and I think you’ll find each one enjoyable to read or converse with.
I hope you are excited about this growth because I know I am. Fun times ahead!
And now, In no particular order, our new additions are *drum roll please*:
Will Martin
- School: University of Adelaide; Adelaide, South Austrailia
- Major: Mechanical Engineering (s1)
- Age: 21
Frank Gaeta
- School: Cal State University – San Bernardino; La Verne, California
- Major: Mathematics
- Age: 27
Robert Burdock
- School: University of St. Andrews; St. Andrews, Scotland
- Major: Mediaeval History and Archaeology (masters)
- Age: 39
I’ll let the authors give a personal intro to themselves. Feel free to pick their brains and get to know them! (By the way, you may know Robert from www.paperlessundergrad.co.uk)
If you have anything you’d like to see covered, please leave a comment or send an email to tracy@studenttabletpc.com and I’ll find someone to cover it!
Welcome to the family, y’all!

I meant to put this under William’s post, I wanted to welcome each seperately, but missed and put it under the introduction to all three. I certainly welcome all three new writers to the site and as I stated above just wanted to welcome each seperately, oh, well, Anyway, Welcome to the site, William, Frank and Robert!

Excellent, and especially looking forward to Robert’s ideas since his field is closest to mine and he’s a grad student (or “postgraduate” as they say in the UK).
