Wouldn’t this be neat to have for tablet work? It has great clarity and brightness, also.

I think this monitor fits the bill as the perfect desktop e-book reader. Put two of these side-by-side with your Tablet in place of the keyboard and I’d say you’d have the ideal paperless study solution in front of you.

What is this setup called? I’m trying to find it on the hp website and am having trouble because it’s not a dublicate of the site picture. Help with identifying the model would really be appreciated. Thank you!

Does it swivel to landscape view, too?

jillian, don’t know if you’ll see this, but the answer is easy, as I use my monitor this way all the time, and can’t imagine ever going back to a smaller one. This is simply the HP monitor swiveled to portrait view. The HP monitors I saw at Costco all swiveled like this. I use a 22″ Synchmaster monitor hooked up to my main unit (be it tablet or whatever), and that way I have a double monitor setup. This is a great setup for anyone (like me) who wants to have more than one window visible at a time. The long space lets me see so much more of my document or website, and I can highlight text on a webpage and then just drag it over into my Word doc. (Noo, it does not disappear off the website!) Great for essay research, gathering quotes, etc. Plus I can’t imagine writing long essays any other way. Or whatever your particular use might be. If your monitor does not come with the swivel function built in, you can purchase a Neo-Flex LCD stand for $35 from Amazon or Buy.com, et voila. To make the monitor display in portrait, in XP Pro, you just go into display properties and change settings for secondary monitor to extend desktop. I don’t know if Vista, or if only a certain version of Vista, supports this, (maybe MS has changed this w SP), b/c when I tried it on a Vista, it would not support this monitor layout - I returned the computer. But that was back last summer. (Personally, I’m sticking w XP Pro, thank you very much)
